I’ve posted an entry before (been nesting in my draft for so long now) but I decided to take it out. Well, you can’t really trust drafts sometimes, coz when the time you wrote it, you might felt differently towards that subject- and now that the feeling’s out in the oven, I’ve decided to write a new one.
I have a confession to make. I’ve been moping around lately. I’m entitled to it – let’s just save the story why.
I figure, even whatever that happens, I’m still should be grateful (yeah, it’s hard to write let alone to chew) of whatever that happens. The typical *blessing in disguise* thing. People say that all the time, do they really mean it and believe in it? I think I should start now..
Well, what’s been up with me? (Being quiet doesn’t mean I don’t have enough on my plate..)
Nisa and I bid farewell to Farah the other day by treating her to Carlos (have always love Mexican ~ I know too much Ugly Betty ~ but the enchiladas, nachos and fajitas were marvel!) for buka puasa, topped with carrot cake, brownies and cupcakes. We even got her a necklace with picture of us as pendant (haha my idea-have always wanted that as going-away present but too bad I’ve never gone anywhere!)- bagai nak gila cari that pendant all over KLCC but we managed to find it nonetheless!
We had another buka puasa gath a few days after that at Paddington Bear (new name we created) at the Curve, with Kam as cameo. Was surprised to see the fall of the price and the change of the menu (my favourite Tokyo dah takde, so I opted for Milan pulak) but was less shocked when seeing the dwindle of the stuffs in the plate. That explains. But as always, Treasure Box never failed to make my day! I even brought caramel for them since they’ve been complaining how one in bazaar Ramadhan ripped them off! 😉
Had family gathering last weekend at my house – I baked my infamous choc cake specially for Dayah who didn’t bite even a slice during Taufeeq’s birthday at kampung the other day- I baked the Optimus Prime cake for Taufeeq~ cool how edible image takes on the world these days and I already gotten requests for Bumblebee and Spongebob this coming Raya. Mum cooked a dozen of foods and boy, we were glad that everybody came home with doggie bags stuffed with left-overs.
Last Friday, with Keira and Lisa at Williams – we savour ourselves with chicken chop, nasi goreng ayam pandan and bihun plus my must-have roti Hawaii. After that wind up at Gloria Jeans Midvalley having our favourite drinks (mixed berry chillers – my ultimate fav non-caffein drink nowadays) during our favourite session (gossiping that was) 😉
Then Saturday, potluck at Ct’s new house ~ the whole clan were there – Panjang & Tina, Botak & Frisya, Shahnaz and cousins Yasser and Amy, Gejet & Lily & baby Danish, Nani & Kamal & baby Rifqi, Mon & Arda & Faten. Am glad that they loved my brownies – haha Botak ko jangan tak ngaku ye brownies aku memang sedap! We (literally) brought the house down! Dah lama tak lepak2 sampai 4am borak2 and sahur sekali. Reminiscing the good times we used to had in 2 good years at Bukit Jalil.
Today, insyallah will be meeting the girls (my other girls – Fara, Ani and Mimi) at Bora Ombak..
What would I be without friends around me? :O
This Saturday will be sending Farah off to Leeds. Despite how much I love the chocolate shopping spree at KLIA, I think I might be carrying a bucket too, just in case..
