I have nothing to write but my hands gatal2 je click favourite and voila here I am – in my ‘write post’ page, when I actually have nothing to write at all! Just got back from an English placement test. Not difficult at all but tricky as hell! It took me almost 10mins going through the same question over and over again. The results will be out soon – if I score, I just have to sit on 1-day English course, and if I’m such a knucklehead, then I might have to sit on 2-3 days of that English course which will be held later. Pray for me yah.
Speaking of which, i have a tale to tell.. (See, the idea always come along once u start writing even when you simply don’t have anything to write about). I always am a jinx in English tests. English tests just simply hate me and only God knows why.
The story commenced few years ago back in Semesta- when I was in lower secondary level. We have this kind of English placement test in the beginning of the year which will indicate which class you will be stucked throughout the year. I have been always selected to enrol in the first class (kunun2 terer la tu) and God knows I thought I was doing good. I have great teachers (Mrs Jam and Mrs Normala), great books to read (I remembered we studied the Anne Frank Diary and I also remember that I sat next to my twin A’a while we were form 2) and very good syllabus set by the school.
What could possibly go wrong kan? I know that my English tests were always outstanding. And some more, I was elected to be in the overall first class in the whole form 3 with my dear friends Ani, Eda and Fara. Tup-tup, PMR exams, I didn’t get straight As and guess which subject that decided to turn its back on me? ENGLISH, of course! To make it worse, I was the only person in that first class that didn’t score straight As!! It was a horrid phase of my life. My parents were so terrified that they have the Jabatan Peperiksaan Negara to recheck my English paper. And turned out that my English point was 79. 1 mere point shy to getting an A. What a kelakar thing to reminisce these days!
Another incident occured during Form 5. As usual elected to be in the best English class, best in class even, yadayadayada and I got c6 for English! Even a bimbo could score that! Mmg tensi… After that I determined to not let English toying around with me anymore. I read as much as I can, subscribe to dictionary.com, watch as much English series and even try to communicate with people using English as much as I can, be it shine or rain. As a result? We have to see about that in my English placement results. Heh.
Ps: Been a long time I did that so-called hobby called reading….
