We assembled at Bank Simpanan Nasional’s HQ in front of KLCC around 7.30 am. After the briefing and after the tulips and questions being handed out to respective cars, we made our journey to Lumut. It was 8.15 am that time, and everyone of us [me, Lynn, Faiz (the navigator) and Ashraf ( the driver)] were very excited and straight away discussed the first question.
There were 2 sets of question, in which the second set will be given to us after the first check-point (which is at an orphanage somewhere in Sabak Bernam). And there are also treasure questions, where we have to break the codes/ riddles and buy the treasures. Since we are going to stop at an orphanage many figured that the treasures would be any kind of foods that will be donated then.
Among the questions were asked (and I must admit this year’s questions were more challenging than last’s):
“In the tap please notice a natural thing. They are in the business in connecting”
The answer was “Apple Communications Sdn Bhd”, a name of a handphone shop at the tulips (area/direction) stated. (please refer bolds)
We arrived at Swiss Garden around 5pm and straight make our way to the beach. Unfortunately, the currents were too strong and it was not advisable to swim with the wave like that. We moved to the swimming pool then. Again, I was unfortunate coz they don’t allow t-shirts in the pool. Dissapointed, we straight make our way to the room (very nice deco- a little Balinese touch) and get ready for dinner afterwards.
Dinner was fun. The foods was OK. This is the time where they announce the winner and also reveal the answers. As usual BNM became the champion for the event.
The next morning, rain poured heavily (and there goes my beach again!) And I can easily kissed snorkeling goodbye. We made our way back after the brekkie and dropped at Lumut Waterfront (this place sure does change a lot since the last time I went here!) to buy few ikan masin, keropok and sotong for home.
Lots of experiences I gained, lots of new people I met, and definitely, another place in Malaysia I conquered (Swiss Garden Resort). But the thing that I love the most was the friendship me, Lyn, Faiz and Ashraf built along the way (KL-Lumut-KL). Those thing was priceless.
