Last nite was, well, to put it in three words : enjoyable, wacko and hilarious!
Have to admit, eventhough I have a few sets of friends, (due to a lot of school-changing) Bukit Jalil’s bunch are the best. I mean the whole bunch. We were still close like we left the school yesterday.
Left office around 5, need to teman Ani fulfiling her sudden-crave for Kenny Rogers’ mac-n-cheese and quick window-shopping at Nichi. Soonest as we arrived, I went down to Marche, just to ensure that our table were reserved safely (don’t want any commotion to be created later if our table wasn’t there!). Around 6, (after Ani left – she couldn’t join even I already invited her) Shahnaz was the first to show up. We made our way inside and settling at our table.
The clock showed 6.50pm yet nobody showed up yet. Few indicated that they were already on the way. Later, after clock strike 7, all of them were already there (Suhaimi, Liza, Siti, Gejet and wife, Hashim and his friend-known him by the name Ustadz, Botak and gf Frisya).
Botak made a killer joke (haha very funny) by calling at 7 and said that he was already in front of Crown Princess (Panjang mentioned earlier that he could score us a corporate rate of RM50 for buffet at Crown Princess but neither of us agreed to go there). I scolded him like mad for his ignorance to read the entire emails on the discussion. Few minutes later he and the-new-and-nice-hair-cut Frisya waltz themselves from the front door. Darn u Botak! (Bulat2 aku kene tipu). Anis and partner, Nazrul called a bit later and asked if they could join us since the place is fully booked. We have to request for extra chairs to accomodate the extra company. But, the more the merrier! 🙂
Take a look at the pictures and see how much fun we had. We ate like there’s no tomorrow. For Marche’s review feel free to drop at the kitchen blog. Please, please pardon me for the not-so-nice pictures (I am soooo gonna get a new handphone!) and also due to the unavailabilty of Adobe photoshop program at the office 🙂
~Botak reminiscing memories juggling between two women 😛 On his left is old-time buddie Liza while on the right is long-standing girlfriend Frisya~
~L-R: Anis (the new Maxis girl), me (the anything but ordinary), Shahnaz (the soft-hearted one), Siti (the loudest one) and Suhaimi (the personal trainer)~
~Owh did I mentioned how I love the food, especially the pasta, lamb, pizza and the… (the list could go on forever) *wink*~
~The 2-months-wed Gejet and sweet Lily – they announced that they have quit their job to run a family restaurant~
~Suhaimi, who was always excited telling us stories about her newbie, Elisyah Sofea~
We left The Curve around 9 and we (me, Liza and Siti) decided not to still call it a day and decided to do last-minute shopping at Jalan TAR. OMG! It’s been a while since I last went to Jalan TAR few days before Raya. The crowd was, well, able to suffocate me! After some kuih raya and tudung shopping spree, we left and decided to sleep-over at my house. Mind you, the next day is the working day! But knowing these girls, there’s no way we could go straight to dreamland once we settled on the bed. The chat went on until 4 o’clock! As a result, today I woke up to an eye-bag and feel really sleepy now…Huarghhhh..*yawn*
All in all, we had a blast last night eventhough there were only half of the quorum that showed up. We were short a number of crony: Afrita, Adreana, Nani, Panjang, Ujang, Jalak, Fara Zara, Jabar, Etot, Sedut and Mon. I just couldn’t imagine if all of us were there yesterday. We might turn Marche topsy-turvy! Owh, and with regard the title, I really mean that my friends complete me. Really.
I’m gonna have my last outside-berbuka today with Huda and Sufi (Uitm Malacca friends). Hope that would be the last of money-evaporating-into-the-thin-air scheme this month. I’m so00ooo00 broke! Really2 hope that my uncles still would give duit raya to me this year! *wink*
Ps: Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin kawan-kawan!
