Lemme tell you, shopping for jeans could be one tiresome task (well, for me at least). Been in and out of stores (Topshop, Padini, PDI, MNG, Elle and even Jusco and Metrojaya but could not find my size (arghh really have to diet after the Raya!). Forget Levi’s , coz the biggest size they have in their stock is size 30! After a strenous day strolling along the stores in Midvalley, finally found my newly-fitted-just-nice jeans at Dorothy Perkins (and I couldn’t stop smiling ever since). My shopping-partner, Diana bought herself a new Esprit tote bag (nice gile!-nak pinjam!) and I get somebody a birthday-gift, an Esprit keychain (which is so nice at once I was kinda reluctant to give it away) 🙂
Saturday evening, after baking the oh-so-infamous-brownies for the evening buka puasa, I get myself ready and make my way to Sungai Wang, where we (friends from Uitm Melaka) gonna have berbuka together. Arrived half an hour before 7 and straight make my way to Johnny’s, where I’m going to repeat the steamboat delight I’ve had last weekend. We ordered almost everything in the menu and started gobbling our heart out. Only at half past 8 we started to slow down. The crowd (there were 16 of us) was fun eventho the person at the end of the table could not make her way chatting to the other person at another end. As usual, after the gossip-session, pictures snapping session and exchanging numbers session, we made our separate ways.
Love this piece: Rina
I have to meet a friend up afterwards, to give the birthday gift I bought earlier, so me and Rina hurriedly made our way to the rooftop, where the car was parked. It was 10pm and we were surprised to see a long queue awaits us at the autopay machine. That was one thing. Soonest after we got into the car and started to make our way out of Sg Wang, we couldn’t help noticing the extra-long queue, where the cars were practically not moving! At first we thought this would take, the most, 15 minutes, but boy, aren’t we wrong! We were 5 metres away from where we parked, and we have another 5 storeys to go down before we are officially out of Sg Wang! Oh goshy. Everybody started honking like mad and there are few people switching off their car engines and get out of their vehicles to verify what could have cause the standstill. Me and Rina, we tried as much to ignore the traffic. We sang our heart out (to lagu Raya from an overly-loud sound from somebody’s speaker), talking about an incredibly wealthy client of hers, screaming out of nowhere and cursing like there’s no tomorrow. We almost lost our mind tho, coz there was one time, when we nearly reached the exit door, I screamed hysterically: “Where is the chip??!!!” I really thought I’ve lost the chip that gonna bail us out of there. We got outta the car, searching the whole car and turning it upside-down, when finally Rina said,
“Bukan tadi kita dah insert the chip kat atas tadi ke?”
Turned out that I’ve forgotten that we already inserted the chip while we exited at the rooftop! We laughed like crazy over my silliness. Traffic really can turn people crazy. Trust me. After two hours of the **** Sg Wang exit queue, we finally came back to our senses and made our way back.
Mental note to myself: There’s no way in he** I’m gonna park at that darn rooftop, ever again!
Cheers peeps! 🙂
