Ani reached my house 10mins to 7pm and we straight make our way to Eda’s. Her front door already wide open, indicating the ketidaksabaran welcoming the two-hungry-to-the-max guests. We did our Maghrib prayers first and helping here and there. Eda and her brother Adhil brought out the table outside where we can eat while enjoying the night breeze.
On the main table, the steamboat-cum-grill cooker already set its foot. The plates and the cups were set out nicely. While on the smaller table, lay an array of the raw foods [get this: squids (two types of squids-the getah one and the white one), chicken fillet, fish, beef, veggies, dimsum, prawns etc] frantically screaming “EAT ME!!!”.
We started our feast at half past 7. Auntie dumped the whole raw foods into the soup while Adhil kept an eye on the food on the grill. He is a soon-to-be-chef hence we leave all the work to him. The food was excellent, the ambience was wonderful and the crowd was fun. Adhil and Auntie took turn making jokes (I know they didn’t mean to make jokes anyway, but whatever words came out from their mouth always sounded so funny!). Everything seemed so fun – The bitterly-sweet fight between Eda and Adhil, Auntie’s scream everytime she asked somebody to get something from the kitchen, Ani’s kusyukness when menghadap the food and myself’s frequent stealing stuffs from the grill everytime Eda’s munching her heart away. Fara joined us (via long-distance call from France) later. Sian tak dapat reality-join. Huhuhu…
There was one really funny time, when I innocently state that I don’t like the getah squids while Auntie was dumping it into the cooker and she suddenly quit doing whatever she was doing. Heh Auntie takpe orglain can eat oso maaa.. Another time would be when each of us declared our favourites and preferences and suddenly Adhil, dengan bersahajanya said: I like meat. meat makes me happy. Damn funny. Another thing would be something I would never ever forget in my entire life: Adhil’s compliment towards my chocolate chip cookies I brought along! Macam nak pengsan dengar…Checkout the pictures:

Ani has to leave around 9.30. We sent her off halfway and made our way back to errr..the dining table. We resumed our dining like we never eat as much before. Auntie continue watching her soap opera while Adhil called it a day on the couch. Me and Eda? It’s not time to call it off yet…
Around 11.30pm, after 3/4 of the foods has been finished by us, the two big-eater, we decided to start cleaning up. Owh and it’s Auntie’s birthday! At 12am sharp, we cut the cake (courtesy of me-the Adhil’s renowned chocolate chip cookies maker) and boy am I glad that she loves it! The brownies a bit hangus since my oven is overheated today. After the cake-cutting ceremony, Eda sent me home after I insisted that I can’t sleep-over at hers.
Not ended yet. Eda pulak yang sleep-over at my house since nobody at the house when we reached home around 1 like that. We fell asleep on the couch and being awakened by Zul’s call. Later we made our way upstairs, ngongeng2 until almost 4 and zzzzzzz…
The next morning, we woke up around 10am and just hang out watching tv. At 12pm, when both my brothers arrived at home after their long night playing games at the cc, Eda decided its time to go back. Heh, we said our goodbyes and promised to make a lasagne-baking date plak.
Ps: Soonest as Eda left, my brother: Kawan sekolah ke tu? Cantikla die…..(I know this one made your whole day yesterday kan dear?)
